Frequently asked questions
I’m not getting notifications
In iOS Settings → Notifications → Potao, check that notifications are allowed. In Potao’s settings you can also turn start, end and other notifications on or off by type.
iCloud isn’t syncing
“Sync with iCloud” in Settings starts off. When you turn it on, fasting records, your eating plan and goal weight sync between iPhone and iPad. Also check that you’re signed in to iCloud and have free iCloud storage. Weight, mood and food entries are not synced.
My weight and food entries are gone after changing devices
For privacy, weight, mood and food entries are stored only on this device. They are not included in iCloud or backups, so they do not carry over when you change or restore a device.
How do I connect to Health?
Turn on “Connect to Health” in Settings and allow it in Health. Everything else works without connecting.
How do I restore purchases?
Go to Settings → Appearance → Restore Purchases. Appearance packs you bought return on the same Apple ID.
How do I stop seeing ads?
Buying any appearance pack removes ads. They are still shown during the 1-day trial.
I found an inappropriate ad
Report it with “Report an inappropriate ad” in Settings, or use the contact link on this page. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you can change your consent choice with “Ad privacy settings” in Settings.
I don’t want to send statistics or crash information
Turn off “Share usage statistics and crash reports” in Settings. You can change it anytime.
The weekly summary doesn’t appear
The weekly summary is created on devices that support Apple Intelligence and have it turned on. Everything else works on devices that don’t.
About your health
Fasting carries physical risks. If you feel dizzy, notice palpitations or feel seriously unwell, stop fasting and eat. If you have a medical condition, take medication, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have had an eating disorder, talk to a doctor before you start.
